Sami Heikkinen has been appointed the CEO of Finelcomp Oy as of January 1, 2022. Heikkinen, who has made his career to date in international management, strengthens the company’s global business expertise and is pleased to have the opportunity to be involved in building a Scandinavian success story. The current CEO, Esa Kivi, will continue as a significant owner of the company.
Sami Heikkinen, 45, who will start as Finelcomp’s CEO at the beginning of the year, will take over the management from the position of VP Global Sales and Marketing of Efla Oy. He has over 15 years of experience in international business development, global sales channels development, and partnerships. Previously, he served in management positions at Eltel Networks Oy, Exel Composites Oyj, and ABB. Heikkinen holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Industrial Engineering.

The current CEO, Esa Kivi, will continue as a significant owner of the company.
– It is time for me to look at the world from the perspective of ownership development. As for my successor, we were looking for someone with solid expertise in international sales management and business development. When we found Sami, the pieces fell into place. I firmly believe that he will be able to open up new markets and thus act as a kind of pioneer, Esa Kivi says.
The change will take place at a reasonable time.
– Finelcomp has a strong year of growth. For example, we were able to enter the UK market in the middle of a pandemic and Brexit, and overall, we are well on our way to internationalization.
